Cosmelan 2 or the Cosmelan home pack?

Cosmelan 2 is just the depigmenting cream. It is for you if you have already had Cosmelan done in a clinic and need to continue, if you are restocking, or if you already have melan recovery and Mesoprotech melan 130+ at home. If you are starting the treatment from scratch and do not have these products, the Cosmelan home pack includes all three.

How long before I see results?

Pigmentation results are measured in months, not days. The change is gradual and consistency matters more than intensity. Applying it properly every day for months works better than starting very strong and giving up.

Can melasma be treated?

Yes, it can be treated and improved a lot, but it does not go away for good. It tends to come back with sun exposure or hormonal changes, which is why the maintenance stage is not optional.

Can I do the treatment in summer?

It depends more on you than on the calendar. If you are going to protect your skin properly, with SPF every morning reapplied during the day, a cap or hat and avoiding the midday sun, or if you simply do not sunbathe, you can. If you are heading to the beach and know you will not follow the routine, it is not the right time, as unprotected exposure can make spots come back or darken. That is why, in most cases, we recommend starting in autumn.

Can I combine it with retinol or acids?

No. During the treatment, Cosmelan should not be combined with retinol or other acids or exfoliants, because your skin is already working hard and adding them would irritate it further. What it needs is the opposite, a simple routine that hydrates it and helps repair its barrier, like melan recovery. If you have questions about any product in your routine, message us before using it.

Do I need sunscreen during the treatment?

Yes, every day, no exceptions. Without protection, the sun reactivates the spot and can undo months of work in a few weeks. If you already have Mesoprotech melan 130+, keep using it. If not, it is the one we recommend, because its tint also protects against visible light.
